The Pickguard Plus™ offers a new unique “passive” circuitry in a form of an ultra-thin (.25mm) circuit board installed  in Lace’s pre-wired pickguard. This new non-active design boosts options available only to previous active systems requiring a battery. No battery is required to use this circuit board design.

This circuitry allows the guitar to having an option of using either a .022 capacitor, .047 capacitor or combining both for a .069 capacitor.

In addition, the pickup positions can be used in multiple configurations; all 3 pickups on, bridge and neck only and many more. Further a tone knob is now used as a blender that can for example blend in the bridge pickup in with any pickup or pickup combination. All optional configurations are adjustable thru micro switches on the board itself.

The second tone pot is now used as a tone change control rather than a roll off switch.

Circuitry is available for 3 single coils, 2 humbuckers and 2 single coils and one humbucker.   

Pickguard Plus™ is available now in black or white 3 ply material.

Pickup options are 3 Lace® Golds and an Ultimate Triple set; featuring a Red, Blue and Silver Lace Sensor.  

For the DIY player, the circuit board which offer a quick solder connector is also available. The built in zero noise circuit will eliminate any noise associated with any type of passive magnetic pickup that is installed with it.

  • Lace Sensor Silver: A fat 70's single coil sound with increased output and more midrange. The ultimate middle position pickup- 7.1k
  • Lace Sensor BlueSlightly increased output with the warmer 50's humbucking sounding a single coil configuration- 12.8k
  • Lace Sensor Red: The hottest output of our Sensor Series. Perfect for the bridge position when fat, punch humbucking output is required- 14.5k
