Tony Aguilar - Totimoshi
Lace Equipment: Drop and Gain
Totimoshi, the gritty and raw Los Angeles band composed of Guitarist Tony Aguilar and Bassist Meg Castellanos, have pointed to their Latin heritage as playing a key role in the shaping of their sound; giving the couple a sound that is unique in the world of modern heavy music. Melodic, thoughtful, and driving, Totimoshi has been described as having the syncopated looseness of early Sabbath and the howl-and-hammer rumble of late Eighties grunge. Yet their music is so much more than derivative descriptives. They are simply Totimoshi.
Tony has recently joined the Lace family of endorsers and plays the Lace Drop and Gain model. In his own very special way gave us a quote to remember; “My drop and gain's rule! My guitar now screams bloody murder whenever I need it too!” Now if that doesn’t get more players on board I don’t know what will!
Totimoshi has plenty on their plate for 2010. Touring has kicked into high gear with them having already completed tours with Eyehategod , Melvins and Isis, and are on deck to support Mastodon in Europe this fall. Plus, they are half way through recording the next album, stay tuned!
